MotaGoGo Data Protection

This data protection has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used in relation to our MotaGoGo service. PII is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our terms of use and privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in relation to MotaGoGo.

When the MotaGoGo location is used to scan vehicle tyres, the vehicle registration number is captured and assigned to the scan data. This information is used solely to identify the vehicle from which the scans have been taken. No images of the vehicle is being stored from the scanning event. MotaGogo then uses this data when providing information to the vehicle owner/operator, in relation to the condition of that vehicle’s tyres. When data is captured by Sigmavision Ltd, when using the MotaGoGo service, the vehicle data is used solely in relation to reporting the condition of the tyres. 

The MotaGoGo service is provided by Sigmavision Ltd to the public for better understanding of the wear and safety aspects of the individuals tyre conditions. The data stays in our system for 90 days encrypted, only a registration by the vehicle owner/user will stop any automatic purge of data. 90 days been chosen as a time limit for directly see an already recorded tyre report after registering to the MotaGogo service. 

Through the management of the MotaGogo service, Sigmavision Ltd receives all tyre scan data uploaded from the MotaGogo locations. Any analysis of the data is only carried out with the exclusion of vehicle registration details, and for the purposes of trend analysis activity. All data is held securely on a dedicated server with the necessary data security protocols in place.

You can request details of any data held solely in relation to a vehicle registration and tyre measurement data for a vehicle for which you can prove ownership, and that the vehicle was scanned using one of our MotaGoGO locations. You can request this data by submitting your registration number and contact details using the Contact form on the MotaGoGo website.

When de-registering from the MotaGoGO service, any personal data will be purged within 10 working days.
